Helping reduce the risk
A campaign was launched in 1991 by the Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths (FSID) and the Department of Health to reduce the risk of cot death. The recommendations that followed from this study have contributed to reduce the number of cot deaths reported every year in the UK by 75%.
